Makaiza Group is seeking a skilled IT Officer to manage our company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of all IT-related functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our network, servers, and security systems, while providing technical support to our staff. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.
  • Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
  • Install and configure software, hardware, and networks.
  • Oversee data backup and recovery processes.
  • Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT-related services and equipment.
  • Maintain IT documentation, including network diagrams, asset inventories, and user guides.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance IT operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Officer, IT Support Specialist, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network management, server maintenance, and IT security.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
  • Experience with managing and maintaining firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Windows, Linux, MacOS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or relevant IT certifications are a plus.
