Makaiza Group is seeking a skilled IT Officer to manage our company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of all IT-related functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our network, servers, and security systems, while providing technical support to our staff. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems.
- Provide technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
- Install and configure software, hardware, and networks.
- Oversee data backup and recovery processes.
- Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT-related services and equipment.
- Maintain IT documentation, including network diagrams, asset inventories, and user guides.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance IT operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Officer, IT Support Specialist, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network management, server maintenance, and IT security.
- Proficiency in IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
- Experience with managing and maintaining firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Windows, Linux, MacOS).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or relevant IT certifications are a plus.
