Our History

Makaiza Farms

Makaiza Farms Limited was founded in 2019 in Iwoye-Ijesha, Osun State, Nigeria, by Mr. Olufemi Joseph Agunbiade, a visionary entrepreneur with a deep passion for agriculture and sustainable development. Recognizing the abundant potential of oil palm in the region, Mr. Olufemi Agunbiade established Makaiza Farms Limited as a small-scale operation focused on oil palm planting and extraction of crude palm kernel oil (CPKO) from locally sourced palm kernel nuts. The company’s primary objective was to produce high-quality crude palm kernel oil to meet the growing demand from local soap and cosmetic manufacturers.

Strategic Expansion

As the demand for CPKO and its by-products increased, Makaiza Farms embarked on a strategic expansion plan. By 2023, the company had invested in state-of-the-art processing equipment and expanded its workforce to over 150 employees and workers. This period also marked the establishment of partnerships with local suppliers in the value chain, ensuring a steady supply of raw materials.
